WHAT IS FAMILY?
The definition of family states:the basic unit in society traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their children. The definition of a family being a mother and father along with their children is known as a nuclear family. This however has changed though the years. This change is due to societies changes. Now a family can be more complex and diverse than ever.
WHAT IS FAMILY TODAY?
Today many families do not meet the definition of a nuclear family. This is neither right nor wrong. A family truly just should compose of the proper support system that a child needs to grow up efficiently and happily.

Like the diversity of the composition of families, many parents chose to parent their children differently. Parenting styles are very essentials to a child's development. It can benefit a child greatly or hinder not only their development but self-view. As parents, are you picking the correct parenting style for your child to achieve the proper foundation for development?
WHAT IS CULTURE?
Culture is understood as the different characteristics and knowledge of any particular group of people. It encompasses their religion, cuisine, language, social habits, art and music. Culture molds the way one completes day-to-day routines. It's through culture that one will learn which temperaments and behaviors are acceptable or disapproved.

They should be aware of the different cultures beliefs towards religion, food choices, apparel, and actions towards certain issues. This topic is of high importance because an insensitivity to this can lead to bullying and harsh situations between children.

Community is composed of the neighborhoods and total people that individuals live in and surrounding a specific area. Communities vary from low income housing exposed to crime and health cautious issues to affluent neighborhoods with various safe parks and activity areas for kids. Besides the area a child lives in, the people found surrounding a child play a role in a child's development.It is important to keep these things in mind when choosing a community. If choosing a community is not an option due to finances, it's important to keep in mind of the dangers that can arise if the community is unsafe for a child.
WHY IS COMMUNITY IMPORTANT FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT?
As a child develops they absorb everything around them like sponges, with this being said its important they are surrounded in healthy, safe, beneficial areas. This can promote the proper guidance for them to grow into the individuals they should be. Children exposed to violence and illegal activities are more likely to continue under the same path. Children who grow up in a community with hazardous chemicals can suffer from serious health issues in the future. A neighborhood surrounded by working, healthy, safe environments promotes great environments to assist your child in development.
